They also developed new arts advocacy tools, like Creative Impact Factsheets and a #Create the Vote campaign complete with a new policy platform which Program Director, Tracie Konopinski, described as one of their biggest aha moments working on this project: “The ability to meet people where they are at is just a lot greater with the reframe in our new policy platform.”

From a strategy session with senior leaders in youth development, education, and disability affairs, to co-creating a comprehensive arts education policy platform with the Arts for All Coalition, MASSCreative continues to seek out new ways to expand partnerships and share what they have learned.

MASSCreative also identified new programming to give even more people opportunities to connect and express themselves creatively.
The new Community Podcast Lab with Futuro Media Group works with local Boston storytellers to create multimedia journalism. This program trains participants of color who have no prior formal experience in public media to create locally and nationally distributed podcasts. According to Futuro, their partners on the project: “The lab is going to make it possible to hear stories from all different communities, to share them respectfully… and connect these neighborhoods with others across the city.”
